12:15 – 13:00 Butterley Canal Tunnel (David Dawson)
13:00 – 14:00 Buffet Lunch with an opportunity to visit the BGS Core Store, and various other displays and part of the site accessible
14:00 – 14:45 Nottingham Victoria Station and its Tunnels (Christopher Gray)
14:45 – 15:30 Groundwater and Underground Structures (Dr. Andrew Hughes)
15:30 – 15:45 Comfort Break
15:45 – 16:30 Nottingham Caves Part II (Dr. Tony Watham)
16:30 Conference concludes

21st October: Sunday Visits

09:30 Meet outside Railway Station Multi-storey Carpark on Queens Road NG2 3AQ for collection by coach. The station is served by buses and trams if you are staying out of the city centre.
09:45 Depart for Papplewick Pumping Station (1884)
10:15 Arrive Papplewick – tour of underground reservoir followed by pumping station. The beam engines will be in steam, and a period 1940’s weekend is happening with period vehicles in attendance.
12:30 Depart for Creswell Crags Prehistoric Cave System
13:15 Arrive Creswell Crags – Eat Sandwich lunch (included)
13:45 Group 1 Tours Creswell Crags caves. Group 2 Tours Welbeck Abbey grounds.
15:15 Group 2 Tours Cresswell Crags caves. Group 1 Tours Welbeck Abbey grounds.
16:45 Depart for Nottingham
17:45 Arrive Nottingham Railway Station
  Evening free for people to make their own arrangements.

22nd October: Monday Visits

Details of how this will operate, locations and travel will be given on registration. Delegates will be responsible for getting themselves between sites (public transport is recommended). Split into two groups of 20-25.

09:30 Tour of Rouses Sand Mine (Peel Street Caves), led by Scott Lomax Tour of Rushcliffe Borough Council Nuclear Bunker
11:00 Tour of Cemetery Mine & Catacombs led by Scott Lomax travels back into Nottingham
12:00 travels to Rushcliffe Bunker Tour of Cemetery Mine & Catacombs led by Scott Lomax
13:00 Both groups lunch [Bring Your Own]
13:30 Tour of Rushcliffe Borough Council Nuclear Bunker Tour of Rouses Sand Mine led by Scott Lomax
15:00 Both groups travel to Broadmarsh Caves
15:30 Tour of Broadmarsh Caves (including the off limits and newly excavated parts), led by Dr. Tony Waltham
16:45 Conference Ends
